Alastair has particular expertise in betting matters, having researched and authored Level’s comprehensive “Evening the Odds” report into FA betting cases and co-authored the chapter on Corruption, Match-Fixing and Betting in the latest edition of “Football and the Law” by Nick de Marco KC.

Alastair also specialises in disciplinary and regulatory work, advising on non-contentious issues such as the drafting of regulations and procedures, as well as acting on contentious disciplinary, safeguarding and anti-doping matters. Alastair regularly appears as advocate in these cases, utilising his in-depth knowledge and skills as a communicator to deliver successful outcomes before disciplinary panels and tribunals.

His style has been described by clients as “clear and persuasive” and “concise but hard hitting”.
