We are currently looking for an Operations Assistant and a Business Development Executive to join the team at Level.

OPERATIONS ASSISTANT (closes 1 December 2025)

We’re looking for an organised and proactive professional to join Level as Operations Assistant, supporting our Practice Manager across the full range of operational, compliance and administrative areas that keep our firm running seamlessly.

Level is a dynamic, market-leading law firm based in the heart of Soho. This role offers an excellent opportunity to play a key part in our continued growth and to work alongside an experienced management team in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

You’ll report directly to the Practice Manager, who is part of Level’s senior leadership team, and work closely with colleagues across Accounts, Office Management, Compliance and Marketing & Events. This newly created role offers the opportunity to make a real impact in the day-to-day smooth running of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the Practice Manager, you’ll provide operational, compliance and administrative support across the firm’s management functions. Key areas of responsibility include:

Operational & Compliance Support

  • Coordinating, managing and developing various firmwide operational and compliance projects
  • Managing compliance queries, records and reporting
  • Assisting with SRA requirements, regulatory updates and training
  • Coordinating insurance renewals, contracts and firm-wide subscriptions
  • Supporting IT systems, audits and related queries


Finance & Supplier Management

  • Monitoring accounts reports and assisting with invoice preparation as required
  • Reviewing and managing office costs, budgets and supplier relationships


People & Onboarding

  • Supporting partner, consultant and employee onboarding processes
  • Assisting with HR documentation and updates to employment policies in line with employment legislation
  • Developing and updating internal documentation and resources to enhance operations and training efficiencies


Administration

  • Managing shared inboxes with the Practice Manager and tracking follow-up actions
  • Scheduling and coordinating internal meetings, firm-wide updates and operational projects
  • Taking minutes and ensuring agreed actions are implemented
  • Managing internal deadlines and supporting workflow across the management team
  • Supporting day-to-day project coordination across management functions

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who has excellent organisational skills, is detail-oriented and enjoys working in a varied and fast-paced role. You’ll be confident handling multiple priorities, building relationships across teams and finding practical solutions to everyday challenges. Experience in a legal or professional services environment is preferred.

We would expect the candidate to have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative or operational support role
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Office 365 and general office systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This award‑winning specialist law firm, based in Soho, is seeking a dynamic senior Business Development specialist to support its growth and reputation across the Sport, Media, Entertainment and Technology sectors.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and relationship-building, helping the firm and its partners further cement their position as market leaders in these dynamic industries.

The Role

You’ll be at the heart of the firm’s growth strategy, driving initiatives that enhance co-operation between the firm’s lawyers, deepen client relationships, identify and win new clients and support profitable expansion across four key sectors. This role reports into the Director of Brand, but will also work closely with the wider Management team.

You will ensure the firm’s sector expertise is visible, strategically leveraged and aligned with client needs. Working across teams, you will support our 40+ partners with tailored BD initiatives and foster cross‑sector collaboration and client engagement that drives growth.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Building & Collaboration

  • Develop strong individual relationships with partners, supporting them on tailored BD activity that aligns with their client and sector focus.
  • Be proactive in suggesting BD initiatives and relevant profile-raising opportunities to partners, ensuring they are positioned effectively in target markets and sectors.
  • Foster and encourage more collaboration to maximise growth potential with existing clients and to ensure a cohesive and consistent market positioning.
  • Proactively communicate and update partners on BD and marketing activity across the firm, connecting the dots and sharing insights to drive coordinated action.
  • Drive visibility of upcoming and planned client meetings to encourage greater cross-selling and collaboration across practice areas.
  • Work with lawyers across the firm to develop sector strategies and identify and address BD challenges.
  • Ensure the firm’s sector leadership in Sport, Media, Entertainment and Technology, and its complementary cross-sector services, are visibly showcased and leveraged by partners in client relationship-building efforts.

Market Intelligence & Research

  • Immerse yourself in the firm’s client base and work, developing a forensic understanding of its key relationships, matters and market strengths to best position partners for opportunities.
  • Conduct research and analysis of key sectors, client businesses, market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and intelligence.
  • Support partners in executing business plans and tracking market opportunities to ensure focus on key growth areas.

Business Development execution

  • Be the go-to person for pitches, fee proposals and strategic presentations that showcase the firm’s capabilities and unique offering.
  • Manage submissions to legal directories and awards, maximising recognition for the practice and individual lawyers.
  • Ensure best practice is implemented in the legal directory submission process, protecting and elevating the firm’s and individual lawyers’ rankings while improving performance in other key areas.
  • Champion and implement the use of BD tools, including CRM and pitch tracking systems, to improve efficiency and insight.

About You

  • 3+ years business development experience in a law firm, professional services environment and/or within the Sport, Media and Entertainment sectors.
  • Proven success in developing and executing integrated client development and cross-selling strategies.
  • Excellent relationship‑building abilities, influencing skills and stakeholder management experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong technical proficiency with CRM platforms and marketing or research tools.
