Family

Level advises high profile clients on complex family law matters and consistently achieves results when the stakes are at their highest.

The Family practice at Level is led by Sofia Moussaoui and Neil McNab, both leading matrimonial lawyers specialising in complex and substantial family law cases.

The practice has a specific focus on high-net-worth ancillary relief matters relating to UK and worldwide assets, and private law children applications. Other work includes pre-nuptial agreements, divorce/separation, same sex/unmarried partners, separation agreements, locating hidden assets, protecting/attacking trust structures, jurisdictional issues and children issues, including residence and contact.

Sofia works with many international clients, including a number based in the Middle East, Hong Kong, Malawi, Caribbean, Switzerland, Sweden, France, Jersey, Gibraltar, BVI and the Cayman Islands. She offers first-rate technical expertise, and is particularly skilled in taking into account the religious requirements and ethical preferences of clients, many of which involve international elements.

Sofia aims to resolve difficult situations with the minimum of argument and distress, including providing assistance through intelligence gathering in order to have effective negotiations outside the legal proceedings.

Neil specialises in complicated nuptial agreements and financial disputes arising from relationship breakdown for high-net-worth individuals. He is also highly experienced in matters relating to children.

He is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in both Complex financial and property matters (high income households and substantial assets), and Children law – disputes between parents or relatives. Neil was one of the youngest solicitors ever to have achieved this accreditation.
