Former Sony Music EVP and International GC, Jonathan Sternberg, joins Level

Jonathan spent four decades at Sony Music Entertainment (and previously CBS Records), most recently as Executive VP & International General Counsel. His influence spans continents and casebooks from the George Michael contract litigation to major copyright, antitrust and merger matters both within the UK and widely internationally.

A true powerhouse in the music industry, Jonathan has helped shape how rights are negotiated, protected and challenged. He’s also served on the boards and committees of IFPI, PPL, VPL, BPI and the CBI, and remains one of the most respected legal minds in entertainment.

Jonathan's move to Level is well-timed as the legal landscape around music IP becomes more complex and the demand for experienced, senior advisors who can offer specialist insight often outside traditional firm or label structures increases in the industry.
