Level welcomes John Adams to its growing Disputes Team

As Level continues to expand its disputes capability, we’re delighted to welcome John Adams to the firm this month.

John brings over 20 years’ experience in contentious insolvency and civil fraud, often involving parallel criminal proceedings. His work covers all aspects of asset investigation and recovery, across both corporate and personal insolvency, and he has assisted in the recovery of assets ranging from digital assets to racehorses and overseas properties. He also has specialist expertise advising clients on digital asset and blockchain disputes.

Notably, John advised the U.S. Trustee of Bernard Madoff in connection with his $65 billion fraud (one of the largest in history) and has acted on several major music retail insolvencies, including both administrations of HMV.

John’s appointment adds further strength to Level’s cross-sector team of specialists. Level’s disputes team offers clients a wealth of expertise, with partners specialising in civil fraud, competition and anti-trust, defamation, and complex issues arising in the sport, media, entertainment and tech industries.
