Bill Downer

Bill is an Associate in the Sports team, advising clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions. 

Bill’s recent experience includes advising on:

• Sports-related M&A, including equity investments in and acquisitions of professional sports clubs and teams.
• The establishment of new franchise sports competitions.
• The exploitation of media rights by sports federations and governing bodies. 
• Licensing arrangements for sports technology providers.
• Sponsorship and commercial partnership agreements for professional athletes.

Before joining Level, Bill trained and qualified at a leading City law firm, where he advised international clients on high-value corporate transactions and regulatory matters across a range of sectors.

Bill holds a First-Class degree in History and International Relations from the University of Exeter.
