Alec Cameron becomes the newest member of the Level team, bringing extensive commercial and intellectual property (IP) law experience acting for media, entertainment and technology companies in private practice and in-house roles.
In a career spanning in-house roles with major brands such as Getty Images and Telefónica Digital, as well as in private practice with Simmons & Simmons, Alec has advised many leading broadcasters, content distributors, magazines, newspapers, sports news, news and photo agencies.
Alec advises on the creation, commercialisation and protection of media and entertainment content in both traditional and digital environments and has extensive experience of advising on commercial deals, IP licensing agreements and IP transactions across the media, entertainment and technology sectors.
Alec is a regular panelist at IP law conferences and has written extensively on digital copyright law and IP anti-piracy issues, as well as supporting clients with their responses to consultations on copyright law reform at both UK and EU level.
