Today is another exciting day in Level’s growth and development as we welcome a further senior lawyer to our team.
Alec Cameron becomes the newest member of the Level team, bringing extensive commercial and intellectual property (IP) law experience acting for media, entertainment and technology companies in private practice and in-house roles.
In a career spanning in-house roles with major brands such as Getty Images and Telefónica Digital, as well as in private practice with Simmons & Simmons, Alec has advised many leading broadcasters, content distributors, magazines, newspapers, sports news, news and photo agencies.
Alec advises on the creation, commercialisation and protection of media and entertainment content in both traditional and digital environments and has extensive experience of advising on commercial deals, IP licensing agreements and IP transactions across the media, entertainment and technology sectors.
Alec is a regular panelist at IP law conferences and has written extensively on digital copyright law and IP anti-piracy issues, as well as supporting clients with their responses to consultations on copyright law reform at both UK and EU level.
On joining Level, Alec says,
“Level feels like the perfect platform from which to further develop my legal career – the sector focus, brand and culture are designed to set lawyers up for success. Level is ideally positioned to grow rapidly in its chosen market sectors, and I look forward to playing my part in this growth.”
Level co-founder and recruitment partner Morris Bentata says,
“We are delighted that Alec has chosen Level for the next stage in his impressive career and we’re thrilled to have him on board. He has so much to offer clients in his specialist field and will work well with our other expert lawyers across the business offering ever more breadth and depth to the increasing number of media, entertainment, technology and sports clients who are also choosing Level”.
