John Reid joins Level

John joins Level after 22 years at Russells Solicitors, during which time he founded and led the employment department as well as being a mainstay of their litigation department throughout that time. John is a very experienced litigator who handles a wide range of media and entertainment disputes, including reputation management and privacy, as well as more general litigation. He has represented major label record and publishing companies, sports industry bodies and companies, as well as a wide range of high profile talent and artists, their agents and managers, across a diverse range of disputes and activities.

In employment, John is best known for handling complex disputes and negotiations on behalf of senior executives in the music and entertainment industries. He also works on a range of reputation management and sports industry matters.

John is a Band 2 ranked lawyer in the 2023 edition of Chambers & Partners UK edition, who have referred to John as “a consummate media lawyer, best known for his representation of artists, estates and celebrities in all manner of commercial and privacy disputes.”. John is also ranked as a leading individual in the Legal 500 for media disputes, sport and reputation management.
