Level Recognised for Industry-Leading Retention and Sustained Growth in CODEX Edge's 2026 Market Report
CODEX Edge's latest market report highlights Level's 97.4% retention rate and 31.44% five-year compound annual growth, recognising the firm's continued success in attracting, retaining and supporting exceptional lawyers.
Level has been recognised in CODEX Edge's 2026 Platform Firms Report, achieving one of the highest consultant retention rates in the sector at 97.4%, whilst also being ranked among the UK's top ten firms for five-year compound annual growth.
The report highlights Level's five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR), placing the firm among the fastest-growing businesses analysed and reflecting sustained expansion over a period that has seen significant change across the legal market.
The findings form part of a wider report that points to a maturing and increasingly influential segment of the legal sector. The report notes that platform and consultancy-style firms are attracting increasing numbers of senior lawyers from traditional firms, with retention rates above 90% now common amongst the sector's leading firms.

Combining elements of a fee-sharing model with the depth, collaboration and sector focus of a specialist boutique, Level has built a proposition that continues to attract and retain some of the most highly regarded lawyers in their fields.
Commenting on the findings, Amy Sullivan, Director of Brand at Level, said:
"The fact that Level achieved a 97.4% retention rate whilst delivering more than 31% compound annual growth over five years is something we're incredibly proud of.
Whilst we're often grouped alongside platform firms, Level occupies a distinctive position between the consultancy model and the specialist boutique market. Our focus has been on creating an environment where exceptional lawyers can do their best work, build successful practices and enjoy being part of what we're creating.
These figures suggest that approach continues to resonate with lawyers looking for a different way to practise law without compromising on quality, ambition or culture."
The report highlights several trends shaping the future of the legal market, including growing demand for greater flexibility amongst senior lawyers, increasing client acceptance of alternative delivery models, and the opportunity for agile firms to embrace emerging technologies such as AI more quickly than traditional partnership structures.
As the legal profession continues to evolve, Level remains focused on providing a home for exceptional lawyers seeking the freedom to build their practices in their own way, whilst continuing to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients across sport, media, entertainment, technology and beyond. Lawyers are not only joining Level, but choosing to build long-term careers here.
